Sports
The purpose of the department of Recreational Sports and Activites is to offer the students, faculty, and staff a well rounded program of sport and recreational activites. Superior skill levels and previous experience are not required for participation in the activites; there is a place for everyone from the beginner to the advanced competitor.

Current competitions include Northwestern State University Intramurals, and the Schools of Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi (SLAAM) Tournaments. Other competitions include scrimmages against local high schools and recreational teams.
